Immunity Shot
Immunity shots can be a helpful tool when you feel that tingle starting in your throat. They’re easy enough to buy in-store, but they can be pricey. These homemade ginger turmeric immunity shots are made without a juicer and feature two delicious herbal variations—fresh thyme for respiratory support and lemongrass for bright, calming flavor. Each version blends anti-inflammatory ingredients with simple, whole-food preparation for a daily wellness boost that’s easy to make at home.
Ingredients
Thyme
1 cup water
1-2 sprigs fresh thyme
1” knob of ginger, peeled & roughly chopped
1” piece of turmeric, peeled & roughly chopped
Juice of 1 lemon
Juice of ½ an orange
1/4 teaspoon manuka honey
Pinch black pepper
Lemongrass
1 cup water
1-2 pieces fresh lemongrass
1” knob of ginger, peeled & roughly chopped
1” piece of turmeric, peeled & roughly chopped
Juice of 1 lemon
Juice of ½ an orange
1/4 teaspoon manuka honey

Instructions
Add water and thyme sprigs or lemongrass to a pot. Cover and bring to a boil. Let steep for 5-10 minutes (the longer the steep, the stronger the flavor), then set aside to cool slightly. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve.
Add remaining ingredients to a blender. Add in steeped water and blend.
Strain again through a sieve or cheesecloth.
Enjoy!
